Notes from the CEO

Federal stimulus projects are now underway improving the construction work in our area. A very slow but increasing pace of business is forecasted for the remainder of 2009.

Our contract with the City of Phoenix for service work is working out great for both Phoenix Tire and the City. Most of the bugs inherent with a new vendor have been worked out. The extra workload is being accomplished without any new hires, putting a smile on the service tech’s faces as they benefit from the extra hours.

We are all enjoying our new facility, customers and staff alike. It is functional and fulfills our every need. The VIS check machine is a perfect fit for our “one stop shop” concept. I hope that all our customers have a chance to inspect the benefits of the VIS machine.

New Building Update

Our new truck center complex now complete and open for service. With an improved facility and convenient location, Phoenix Tire is now more prepared to be your complete commercial maintenance vendor. The new complex is located on 48th Avenue on the north side of Buckeye Road. This will allow our customers a much easier entry in the morning rush hours. A left turn lane is still available on Buckeye Road for added convenience.

• 30,000 SF building on four acres of land
• Self contained warehouse, tire shop, and complete mechanical division in ONE location
• 5 covered tire bays stretching 80 feet long to completely cover a full tractor and trailer
• New equipment including two high speed tire balancers, on-the-truck balancing machine, and a rotary screw Ingersoll Rand air compressor
• Easy access and plenty of room to turn around because of the unique horseshoe design of the yard
• 3 enclosed mechanical bays stretching over 100 feet with individual power and air lines
• 1 enclosed mechanical bay and pit dedicated to PM services and repairs
• 1 enclosed mechanical bay complete with a built in ALIGNMENT PIT capable of handling alignments from pick-ups to the largest buses and semi-trucks
• 500 SF customer lounge with seating, paper work area, flat screen TV, microwave, free coffee, and vending machines
